Maine’s retailers should have the right to know that products for sale on their shelves are safe.
But when it comes to getting reliable information and ensuring the safety of products, retailers are left in the dark.
This is because health and safety testing requirements for big chemical companies are inadequate, as are labeling requirements for product manufacturers.
It doesn't have to be this way.
The Alliance for a Clean and Healthy Maine invites businesses to support the swift and thorough implementation of the Kids Safe Products Act which requires identification of the most dangerous chemicals in children's products, and replaces those chemicals with safer alternatives when available.
Please join the growing list of Maine Businesses working to promote chemical policy reform to ensure that products are safe and Maine people, especially our children, are protected. Sign Onto A Group Letter To Maine's Chamber of Commerce.
